Voted YES to the biggest teacher pay increase in the history of CCSD, now the largest in the state.

Voted in support of EL, a high-quality curriculum that produced record high scores in CCSD for student achievement.

Hired a qualified Chief Academic Officer (CAO) to continue these record-breaking gains.

Appointed to the South Carolina School Board Association (SCSBA) Board of Directors

Appointed Vice Chair of Audit and Finance Committee for CCSD

Recipient of the 2024 MLK Picture Award for outstanding community service.

Collaborated with the Town of Hollywood to open the Community Resource Center, Hollywood

Collaborated with the Community Resource Center, North Charleston and participated in the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act Program providing access to employment and education training for D4 and D23 constituents.

Supported the implementation of ESSER funded programs for student support services in D9 and D23.

Supported the D23 Collaboration ($3M)

Allocated funds for the St. John’s High School baseball/softball field renovation project ($7M) and the Baptist Hill High School Athletics renovation project ($6M)

Visited all 13 schools in District 8, and many other CCSD schools, and participated in Back-to-School events.

Participated in Read Across America, Reading Role Models, and Black History school events in our local schools.

100% attendance record for Board and Committee meetings since being sworn in on November 18, 2022.

Nominated two individuals representing D9 and D23 to the Citizens' Oversight Committee

Darlene Dunmeyer-Roberson is a homegrown, Hollywood native dedicated to ensuring equitable opportunities are provided through the educational system of Charleston County School District. She is running for a second term to continue as the voice for our communities and the issues she has been a champion for in her first term.
